343 Industries is a newer American video game developer based out of Kirkland, Washington. While the Halo universe started off in the hands of Bungie, 343 took over the reins and released Halo 4 for the Xbox 360 in late 2012. Microsoft registered the studio name in 2007 and assigned this group to various Halo related work starting in 2009. 343 is now working on the Xbox One from Microsoft.
